Our church history

Grace Maranatha Tabernacle, previously La Place de la Grace de Port Saint Lucie Inc was founded by seven families in June 2015. After much prayer, they sensed that they need a place of worship. Quickly they added their resources together and acquired a small place in a warehouse where they faithfully worship their Lord and Savior. Just one year later, the congregation began to expand soon they had outgrown that small warehouse room. As a result, they called upon me, pastor Pierre J. Jean- Baptiste, and my wife Edith Jean-Baptiste to come and lead them. 

We started working right away, first we relocated the congregation from that small warehouse to a beautiful sanctuary which we rented from a seven Day Adventist church. A key aspect of our vision has always been from start, making a tangible and lasting impact in the community along the Treasure Coast area. We envisioned becoming a model church in our community, emphasizing on hospitality, prayers, bible study, fellowship, unity, and love. 

We envisaged becoming a church offering hope, encouragement, acceptance, and a place of refuge for those who are sick physically, emotionally, and spiritually. we envisaged a church where its members grow in their faith in Christ, and engage into a loving, caring relationship that are real, sincere, free of favoritism, and show respect for everyone. 

Our mission is to reach the non-believers in the Treasure Coast Area, and throughout the world, and equip, train, support them, and fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ together with Florida Baptist Convention. Matthew 28:19-20. We are growing, fruitful, and making a lot of progress over the years. 

Therefore, we need our own place of worship so we can continue doing our ministry with no limit. We believe deeply in the doctrine of Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, we also believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ to take away his bride, the Church before the great day of judgment of God upon this earth. we hope and pray that our vision becomes a reality this year with the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ, and our brothers and sisters at Florida Baptist Services. 

we believe with all our hearts that he can make a way where there is no way, and we are confident that he will finish what he has started.
